Today was the dreaded workout of the week: mile repeats. It was very very windy outside, so if I wanted to run fast, it would have to be inside. I chose the treadmill over the AF Rec Center, because watching Forever Strong inside my own home while I ran seemed more appealling than a crowded 12 lap per mile track. After warming up, I did 4 x 1 mile repeats at 5:00 each (the fastest my treadmill could go), with a half mile recovery in between (about 4:00). It hurt since it was my first speed workout since state, but I felt good knowing that I hadn't lost really any fitness after state. |
